There may be times when one is down
with lack of true desire
in working at one’s daily task
through things it may require
____
when cutting corners could be done
or cheating in some way
just to satisfy one’s laxness
getting by through the day
____
which perhaps a habit was formed
because what others do
will God be pleased with your actions
do they see God through you
____
in working as unto the Lord
brings contentment inside
knowing that one has done his best
allows peace to reside
____
God knows we are tempted to do
whatever one does feel
but in submission to His will
God’s work then has appeal
____
for pleasing God becomes the norm
each day one starts in prayer
asking Jesus for needed grace
to serve with constant care
____
then the day has not boredom
but favor in God’s eyes
when one commits his work to Him
God helps the day go by
